Watershed Care at Home
Watersheds are made up of all the plants, animals and geologic features of the naural world, as well as the agriculture, housing and industry of the human world. Every resident is also a watershed steward---someone who cares for the place they live. The choices we make -- in maintaining our homes and vehicles, in how we garden and landscape, and how we get around -- all impact the watersheds we live and work in. This section of the website will provide you with a wide range of information spanning from: how to manage waste from livestock and property, to recycling and composting, to creating and enhancing wildlife habitat, and landscaping with beneficial native plantings, to issues involving your home and property such as construction, fire safety, pest management and flooding.
